I like TvT, but the gcredits thing isn't working too well for me. I got there cause I wanted to download a pretty old tv series, 7th Heaven. It's a good series. But season one alone is like 7Gs, I think. How am I supposed to get those credits on my horrible speeds. If it worked like ratios, it'll all be fine and dandy. I can just download and seed. Any one got ideas? Maybe somewhere for older series?

That is what I am thinking. I am sure that people who mention the sites they are on in here often get hammered with pm's for invites. I know in other threads when I talk about a site and don't even specifically say I am on the site I inevitably get pm's begging for an invite. Don't you have people doing that in here? That's all right now, and have barely begun to use the last two of these (normally do more with other things than music, but was pleasantly surprised to see the variety of non-music torrents on Waffles. I haven't even heard of most of the private trackers people here are mentioning, so I'm going to guess that's additional evidence that the widely publicized shut-downs are doing little to cut down on BitTorrent traffic.

The day TT has normal open signups is the day hell freezes over, although a few months ago they very surprisingly opened registrations for their forum for a short while and gave some of the members that started posting there an invite to the site, my gf being one of them :)

As for KG, I have no idea what happened to it. for the last many days the torrents from there in my client say connection error and site doesn't load. I have seen others posting about the site being gone as well.

I don't see how ppl need to use so many private trackers. isn't it easier to manage ur ratio when only using one or two trackers at a time?

It's not that hard. You just need to seed for the right length of time. The reason for having so many, is because I have yet to find a tracker that has all the files I look for. Many of them are specialised, and those are the ones with the REAL goodies. The general trackers usually post the same thing anyways, so I think I'm registered to just one or two of those...

I think demonoid is a compromise between a private and public tracker. Hybrid, in a way. I think people see it as 'unprivate' due to the ease of getting in, as well as its exposure relative to other private sites. But hey, you still have to maintain your ratio there, so private.

i don't see any need to join private trackers, i just use IPT for most of my needs.
music seems to a small problem, so i use what, but not too frequently.

if you really think about it, everything arrives at all the trackers sooner or later. i think for IPT scene release delay is like 20 to 30 min.. not a biggie.

i also like to keep a backup tracker, so i use revot as my backup tracker.
and sometimes i will need old movies for reference etc. goem and KG fit that need.
i don't own any gaming councils or have enough resources of my PC to play latest games, i am just a normal user that uses his PC to do word processing and learning new computer languages(c#, C++ etc) and working on my websites.

I DO NOT have any invites or comfier that i am a member of any trackers i talked about above.
