Hi, I have nice problem for you..

I loose internet connection in 2-3hours when using DC++ and then have to restart my PC. The router (I have ADSL) doesn't respond (for example to ping 192.168.1.1), but the other PCs don't loose connection. So the problem has to be with this windows when using DC++.
No errors in the Event Viewer. And I dis-activated windows firewall to be sure. Tried to restart the router but still no connection : it's like the windows blocs every connection.
I use DC++ 0.698 in active mode.

Thx

not sure this will help, but have you tried disabling and re-enabling your network connection?

I had a friend have the same problem just a few days ago (no DC++, but similar) and his turned out to be a corrupted WinSock. He downloaded a program called WinSock XP Fix from Snapfile.com and that fixed his problem. Hopefully it'll do the same for you... assuming you even have XP.... :)

It just happened again and disabling/re-enabling worked. That's nice :)

I also tried the Socket Fix, and in a few days I'll write back to confirm if it solved the problem permanently. In fact I did a registry clean-up some time ago, so this could be the solution.

Thx again for your help

Well Houston, we still got the problem.
Do you know any program to log the internet connection ? I still don't know where the problem is

I had a similar problem with DC++. It was fixed by changing client. I use Strong DC++ now and it works much better.

I changed at 0.699 from 0.698. Strong DC++ isn't allowed in some hubs, or not ?

Don't know really. I only use one hub occationally. I prefer more private then the ones, that you just ask for.
