How to clear the hiss/noise off of mp3, before burning to AudioCD ?? ?

Hey evrybody.

Which program would u recommend me to use in order to remove the hiss and noise of the mp3z so that when i burn them to AudioCD i have a crispy sound?

Download Soundforge 6.0 full from kazaa and use the noise gate filter which removes low level audio distortion hiss from mp3's - :))

Yeah i did d/l sound forge 6.0 off kazaa.

It has a lot of neat features, however i dont like the fact that when u open a mp3 it takes quite SOME TIME until it builds proxy and some s h i t like that. So what i really wanted is just open a bunch of mp3z select them all, right click them and apply dehiss and normalize to all of them and thats it ... But the sourseforge i gotta take alot of time for a single mp3. In other words I really like the feature in Nero when doing audioCD that after u drag the mp3z, u select them all, right click, properties, filters, i check the dehiss and normalize filters and thats it. then just press burn and it does everything quickly and produced crispy sound, However , now, on XP those ASPI drivers are messing nero up, even the latest version and currently i cannot use nero and it's neat features. Therefore i was looking for a program that will do the leveeling and dehissing, save the changed audio files and then just burn w/ RecordNow the improved audio files. thats all. Thanx for the replies. Any other suggestions.

Cool Edit Pro is a great tool too for reducing noise...

It usually takes careful procedures to ensure that you don't damage the file by removing more than just the standard hissing or noise.

As far as normalizing goes, try MP3 Gain (http://www.geocities.com/mp3gain/). It's a simple little program to convert your MP3s to bring them to the same average loudness (which is slightly different than normalizing). I use this prog when compiling CDs from MP3s and it works like a charm.

Eh, it's not really worth screwin' with removing hiss as the mp3 is of crap quality anyways if it has clicks and hisses. Just re-rip or re-download (from a better source).

depends i suppose i the speed of yer computer mine builds a proxy in aprox 2.3 seconds i find it very fast.
