Alright folks, the time has come. Starting Friday, the new Credit system will be implemented.

We'll start off here by explaining what it's all about and why we're doing this again.
Over the past few months, donations have significantly declined, forcing bills to be paid out of pocket. Due to this, we're implementing this new Credit system.
Please understand that this what we have deemed necessary to keep this site open and available for all of us to love and enjoy.

Now onto the details. Here is an overview of what you will receive in exchange for your donation.

General Upload credit donations:



* A 10€ Donation gives you 10GB upload credit.



* A 20€ Donation gives you 25GB upload credit.



* A 30€ Donation gives you 40GB upload credit.



* A 50€ Donation gives you 65GB upload credit.


For the custom donations, the amount of upload credit you get per euro is based on how much you donate:



* 10.00 - 19.99€ will give you 1GB per euro



* 20.00 - 29.99€ will give you 1.25GB per euro



* 30.00 - 50.00€ will give you 1.3125GB per euro



* 50.00+€ will give you 65GB for the first 50.00€ plus 1.5GB per euro for the remaining euros


Also, any donation over 10€ will earn you a star, a custom title, and voice on IRC.

We would also like to state in plain English, DONATING WILL NOT EXEMPT YOU FROM A BAN. If, after a donation, you are still a user that will be banned for a low ratio, your donation will not prevent that from happening. You are STILL RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN RATIO. We want to make that very clear. This site is about sharing, and it will stay that way. You just get a small bonus for your contribution to the site ;)

Also, on a side note, we will be increasing the user limit soon to help everyone further increase their ratios, and the long awaited new design will be up at the end of the month, with a new server so no more timeouts or slowdowns.

We would also like to mention, you will be able to choose not to recieve the upload credit when you donate if that is your wish.

Also, you will recieve invites as a part of your bonus for donating.

With a 20 Euro donation, you will receive 1 invite.

With a 50 Euro Donation, you will receive 3 invites.

I feel little sad that ScT had to go pay2leech. It may affect the quality of the tracker with some leechers coming on and increase in the user limit.

I heard that the community rallied and started donating like crazy, raised maybe $1000 or euros, not sure which they counted by from where I heard.

I will do this on one condition: that the seller emails me the invite first. Look here, you have nothing to lose. If I don't pay you after u mail me the invite, then u can just tell the scenetorrents admins that you had been cheated and they will just cancel the existing one and give you another so why the hell would i try and scam you.

Now why do people think that just because they did this the tracker will suck now? Look at TL. I don't care what others say about it. It's a level 4.5 tracker and they have speed and content. They also give invites every week which is cool and they opened registrations just last week? Just because they have lots of people joining doesn't mean it's leecher's heaven.

But look at how many people buy the vip status. They don't share, I've seen countless members with something like 900gb downloaded, 20gb uploaded. It's a lower level tracker because it's too easy to get in and stay. Those other trackers are higher level because it's difficult to procure an invite; that's how the tracker rating system works.

A lot of torrents are hard to download and seed back on TL, I'm having a lot of troubles with a 7.6gb game. I didn't start the download when it came out, it's an older torrent and on TL, a lot of older torrents aren't seeded well and of course aren't being leeched by many. In comparison, trackers that are higher level - because they are harder to get in - people do their best to keep their accounts so they seed everything. I got stuff that is several months old on highly rated trackers at incredible speeds, not the 10/20 kb/s on TL that takes forever :)

TL (and revott) used to be good enough for me, but after seeing the likes of these other trackers, I prefer the greener pastures! haha

In order to get upload credit or invites, you must choose which you want directly under the appropriate donate button before you click it. For the custom donations, the ammount of credit you get per euro is based on how much you donate:

* 10.00 - 19.99€ will give you 1GB per euro.
* 20.00 - 29.99€ will give you 1.25GB per euro OR 1 invite.
* 30.00 - 49.99€ will give you 1.3125GB per euro OR 2 invites.

pay2leech basically sucks reason is payment has to be an option not a must. Internet must be free at all times, sct has a value for hard to find accounts but with payments like these it will loose its value. Everything is money money money donations is more than enough for every torrent site after that it is all greed greed greed.

I still dont understand it. If you have to keep a ratio, then how can you not keep up a good ratio since your adding gigs to improve your ratio? You dont donate fast enough to keep the ratio up or download more then your credited will get you banned? Its that this site is different all together, most sites will not ban you for low ratio.

I never got what people have against P2L. To me it means easy seeding preventing me from getting into ratiotrouble or having to watch my every move. The more people P2L the more gets downloaded helping me seed more.

The money goes to serverpayments, seedboxes etc. anyway.

Far better than the sites with advertisements everywhere to cover server costs.
