What are YOU playing?

I'm curious as to what everyone else is currently playing, and I thought this might be a good way for people to discover some new games. So have at you!

I'm currently toying with:

Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops
GTA Vice City Stories
Lumines (I just can't put this one down for good! :)
Doom 3
Typing of the Dead (Old school!)
and a little bit of Counter Strike: Source every once in awhile.

It's my first time playing through Doom 3, and everyone who said it was dark wasn't f'ing kidding. I haven't been enjoying Vice City Stories as much as I did Liberty City Stories - a lot of the missions in VCS are tedious and annoying (so far, at least). And yes, I do love my PSP despite the fact that everybody else seems to despise it - there's some excellent gems in the collection of games available.

I used to play the UT games, but I probably won't get back into it until 2007 is released.

I play Luxor 1, Luxor 2 and Kyodai Mahjongg 2006. I've beaten the first 2 so many times already, but I just enjoy shooting those stupid balls.

I absolutely was addicted to Zelda: Ocarina of Time some years ago, although I didn't really like Majora's Mask. I know Zelda: TP and WW are worth getting, just don't know if the Wii is worth it or if I should just get the gamecube.

the Wii IS worth getting, but not worth killing yourself over trying to find. none of the current games are going to run away. so, get one if you can, but dont stress over it. both zelda's WW, and TP are now my favorites.

I've been addicted to Halo 2 Xbox Live for about 6 months now.

Unfortunately it looks like the Halo movie might not ever be made. It was originally scheduled for a 2008 release, but financiers Universal and Fox Studios both changed their minds and decided against funding the movie before any real work was done. Perhaps because the director was a "noob" to his profession (:p), perhaps because it had an estimated $200 million (US) estimated budget, perhaps because game-based movies have historically failed, or perhaps even because Microsoft demanded $5 million plus 10% of the total earnings. Basically, it's been put on permanent hold, and will stay that way unless some studio with a lot of cash decides it's worth investing in. At least H3 is still guaranteed to come out. :\

I'm mainly just playing Guild Wars as of right this second. I was playing World of Warcraft, but I'm kinda stuck on level 39... I don't feel like grinding and I'm not strong enough to do any of the quest... maybe I should make friends on there... nah.... :)

Anyways, Guild Wars is fun for now... but it's no WoW. Oh, and I'll be play Gears of War tonight. :)

I'm really surprised no body has mentioned a footy game my fifa 07 still regulary gets a rattle , nothin beats a good game of fifa with a good opponent , this game still has me on the edge of my seat and palms sweating when i'm in a good match for bragging rights.

War Craft, War Craft 2, Star Craft, HL, HL2, HL2: EP1(waiting for EP2), CS 1.6, CS:S, Diablo, Diablo 2, Call of Duty 1, European, and 2, All the PC versions of MOH.

I dont play my PS2 anymore...I just use it as a DVD player for my bedroom.

The Wii is a badass console. I love playing the regular games that came with it. My wife, who hasn't played any games since Mario Bros, plays the Wii all the time.

Well, I haven't met a women yet that doesn't adore the Wii, so I definitely think that's the gateway drug to get the females into gaming. :)

To be honest, if she didn't play vid games at all, she probably won't go for it. My wife likes it because its easy for her to play. Unlike the PS3 or XBOX with,"all the buttons", as she says. I have neither the ps3 or xbox. Don't get me wrong, she still plays the NES, but she loves the Wii.

I am still debating getting one for my parents. My dad hasn't played since Donkey Kong Country and my Mom since Tetris on Gameboy.

c&c 3 is pretty awesome, though I always feel jipped from their ending cinematics.
I just beat Overlord for the 360 which is pretty awesome, once you go through the first mission in the game and your minions cut up a pumpkin and throw it ontop of their head as a helmet, you know it's going to be hilarious ;)
Ninety Nine Nights seems kinda cool but it gets pretty hard in the later stages, I'm still trying to beat the first chick's story and I've had it for a week or so. Damn flying dragons -_-

Yeah, for the uninitiated, rFactor was made to be modded and the mods are what make the game so awesome. They're all free and the dev teams are always working to improve their releases. The difference between recent releases and releases a year ago is phenomenal. There's a great site called rFactorCentral where you can go and download most mods and tracks. The most played mod are recent releases, but the mod with the most staying power is probably Megane Trophy 2.0. Recent releases are the most popular mod for at least 2 weeks. rFactor also has tons and sons of leagues so you should be able to find a place that suits you among them all. Public servers are usually pretty good unless you're playing something really recent.

I may be playing FFXII (yes... still... I play for about 20 hours then not at all for a month or so) or Warhawk if I can wrest the controller from my wife (who may be obsessed with defeating all-comers on the online leaderboard for Super Stardust HD... I think she is at about 650ish overall... she uses the default handle for the system, so wingnut2600 looks like the bad-ass, when in fact I am just bad)...

I think I am going to go and buy a copy of TLoZ: the Phantom Hourglass next week and have some good old-fashioned Celda love...
