why sometimes do I need to activate winxp?

ok, I dont understand... why sometimes it requires to activate winxp and sometimes - it doesnt? what it depends from? from sp1 or sp2? or what version (home / pro) of winxp you're using?

If you have WinXP Home or Pro, you would have to activate when you have too many hardware changes. But if you have WinXP Corp. Pro version, then you wouldn't need to activate again once activated.

no no no i think that ..is the updates ...forces to install WPA...and if your windows is a copy ...will detect you ...well its only my opinion...
