Another one bites the dust, as Blu-ray joins its HD-DVD brother as well as other encrypted forms media that have seen their security features "cracked and hacked" by industrious individuals bent on keeping content free for everyone.
<p>It's no secret that the HD-DVD disc has been cracked wide open, the infamous muslix64, identity and whereabouts unknown, instantly being made a target of both admiration and disgust. </p>
<p>Well, now Sony has headaches of its own, as Blu-ray, the HD-DVD alternative, has also been cracked. </p>

Just a pity that files are so big.

And a waste of time compressing them as you would lose HD quality or would you?

I've seen quite a few US TV shows in HD. they were compressed as xvid files.

The results to my eyes seemed better than DVD.

Any views on this?
