It strikes me every now and then how muck good music there is. So many bands! You can't listen to everything. (makes me sad....) It also strike me sometimes that everything sounds, more or less, the same. Everybody is getting influenced by others. So... sometimes it happen that I come across a band that i think: "Wooow dude, this is like nothing else"
If you've got that feeling of a band tell me!
My band will be: The Cat Empire (http://www.myspace.com/thecatempire)
Really hard to discreibe their music. It's a mix of jazz, latin, rock, reggae, etc.
Check them out! You will not be disappointed!

i think mine would be Queen. even though they have long been over they did and created so many different type of songs and never just repeated the same old pattern.

Streetlight manifesto, spawned from the original Catch 22. Horn driven progressive rock. It's i's own style, and I'd recommend very strongly.

Hi there to all! For my first post I must agree with stephen sterritt, my all time favorite is also Queen. So many albums with so many music styles changes through years.
I am just sad that I didn't catch them live on concert...

The cat empire reminds me allot of the Celtic rock blends that have been around, and some French bands that were always played in my high school classes. If I am not mistaken the term for the blend of traditional and modern music is called neo-trad.

I always found The watchmen to be somewhat different too but I'm not sure why.
Ive also found span to be kind of a refreshing take on classic rock, slightly different sound.
