Hopefully you've already left, but you NEED to pack a bag quick. Only the essentials.. some quick energy like granola bars and chocolate, a few HI-C drink boxes, and hit the road because, Jack, they are on you like stink on rice, -er.. I mean... RUN!!!!!

ps- smash that hard drive into bits and then microwave it before you flee. Ditch your cell phone and pick up a pre-paid disposable. Post here for more advice from a secure location when you get a chance. The code word is "quelish". Trust no one.

I have heard of this before with other software. In most cases software companies when someone enters a banned code they show this warning. I doubt they will do anything. In the future, just try out the software and if you like it buy it. I am a firm believer of supporting people if you like the works. Much like music, if i really like the artists, i spend lots of money on them, shows, cds, merch....

anyways, good luck and i hope the cops don't come knockin!

Oh for fucks sake it's only $12.99 and they offer a FREE TRIAL!

Tell them you were just driving it around the block before you shelled out your crack money.

Just buy a copy, or tell them to go fuck off with their $13.00.

In the future, you will not let your applications phone home, right? I SAID RIGHT?

OK then . . . now dont worry about it.

I've seen messages like this in the past and I'm still here with no po-lice at my door.

Chances are they used it to scare you. And, OMG, it WORKED! You seem skeeeered.

Just remove the software or, like Krell said (he's got good advice!) buy a copy or use the free trial they offer.

Highly unlikely that this is anything other than a sick joke to scare people out of using warez.

BTW what country are you in?

best thing to do is turn yourself in. go to your local police and tell them you are the internet pirate that everyone has been looking for. if they tell you to leave, refuse and insist at the very least you are a given a thorough and lengthy body cavity search.

Like most other people here said, it's probably just a scare.

what if you had just typed in the wrong number? I'd have to say it's a scare.

lol yeah i wouldnt be too worried about that, they have bigger fish to fry than you. I remember when my uncle downloaded a program that said it was reporting him to the cops but only to find out it was a joke program that after 15 minutes tells you it was just a joke and that the program wasnt real. boy was he freaked though...

The big companies don't generally go after small-time downloaders - it costs too much. So they go after the big uploaders.

We haven't heard from harsha16 in over 4 months. From what I hear through the grapevine, we might now know his fate for another 2 to 4 years (2 with good behaviour). Let this be a warning to all of you. :icon_salu

LMAO...

I used to wonder exactly who these software companies actually thought they were scaring with their silly little ploys...
