I still can't get an open port. It seems no matter how many time I try a different number. I'm using a router and Zone Alarm-it shows no block to uTorrent. Somewhere I read you can't use Zone Alarm but that might have been with Azureus but anyway scrolling down someone said they were using Zone with good results. Any hints?

You need to configure port forwarding in the router.
You also need to tick the "allow to act as server" option in the zonealarm settings for your p2p programs.
Last time I looked zonealarm tended to slow down p2p programs and use lots of memory when programs that make lots of connections are running. It's been a long time since I last looked at zonealarm so it may have improved.

it would show no block because it uses a option that accepts firewalls and closed ports

Describe what you did in detail. List the make and model of router you have, the exact settings that your tried, what firewall/secuirty software you have installed etc
