hi, i have a few questions i'm hoping someone here might answer.

1. i currently use limewire to dl my music? is this still the best option available for dl'ing music? or is there another program i should look into?

2. i've been using azareus for what seems like forever to dl my torrents and i was just wondering if theres now a program that consistently downloads torrents faster? or alternatively is there a guide someone can link me to on increasing my download speeds with azareus?

3 and last but not least i've always been interested in learning how to dl sh1t off of usenet and irc can someone link me to a a guide or something on how to do this?

thx in advance yo

Signing up for a zeropaid account is worthless when your looking for a free ride.

Try www.google.com and find the answers yourself.
Or try the handy search function at the top of the page.

I went from Azerus to UTorrent and consistently have dl up to 530kbs, I would switch and switch now. UTorrent uses less CPU than Azerus, so it will also free up some of your resources which also =faster DL's

This user gave no indication of how much bandwidth they have or what kind of computer resources they are working with.
This person could be on a low grade connection. In this case, the limiting factor would probably be connection speed and not computer speed especially talking about bittorent. On the other hand, if this person had a computer with a crappy processor and low ram, then they would benefit from changing to utorrent. Azureus is a great program but unless you are low on resources then it will not really speed up anything. On that note, I love utorrent but we have to examine all the facts. So, if the person who started this thread wanted to post all the specifics then we could help them further.

Just for the record, i highly recomment utorrent. (I hate wasting resources no matter how many you have to work with) Utorrent is just more efficient.

The client is independent of download speeds. It's all about BW and tracker speed and seeds. That's it.
