I've downloaded an iso file from PirateBay and am having nothing but trouble figuring out what to do with it. I'm using Nero 6 ... and so far, have wasted 3 disks. First one all I got was a copy of the iso file itself; and the others have 'burned', but when trying to view the contents, nothing shows up ... but the disk does have something on it ... just can't see it.

I am under the impression that I should see the files from within the iso files ... like a normal program disk.

Can anyone give this 'dumbo' a clue on what to do to get the files onto the disk please.

Thanks

If you have WinRAR, you can look inside that ISO file. Maybe there is a NFO file with information on instructions of what to do with that ISO file!

In your Nero startup menu group, look for Nero Express. One of the first options you see upon loading should be "burn image" or something like that. It should let you browse to your .ISO file and burn it. If there happens to be a choice between "track at once" or "disc at once", go with the latter.

When you burned the .ISO file itself onto the disc, you likely made a data disc.

Sometimes Nero 6 would prevent you from viewing your newly burned disc's content if the program was still running. Make sure it's shut down and check the discs again.

Sounds like a VCD (Video CD) Put it into a DVD player and see it it works or try play it with Windows Media Player.

Just go to Main Menu Bar > Play > DVD, VCD or CD Audio > And select your CD Drive here.

It looks like I need to rephrase somewhat as the ideas being presented are not working.

I downloaded an iso file of ******and need to convert it into a usuable data disk. I am using standard CD-R disks; and so far have (now) 2 copies of the iso file; and 2 disks with somthing on them that my Windows explorer can't detect.

I have Nero 6 and have tried ... apparently ... the wrong things. Can anyone point me to details of this process please. This is the first time Ive used iso files ... so am totally bambozzled as what/how to proceed.
Thanks

**no file names, please**

Howz about tryin' a different image... cause, son, I think you done got a bad ISO.

You can however, find an app like ULTRAiso or ISObuster, even WINrar or whatever, and load it up, extract the contents and then burn all of the files as a data CD, which you seem to have perfected.

KleenR: Thanks for the input. I was contemplating just that. I am also of the opinion that it may just be a conflict between Nero and Roxio ... who bought out Sonic ... which was installed on my computer by HP. I recall a discussion on Annoyances.org from a couple of years ago wherein the two ... Roxio and Nero ... just could not get along on the same computer; and as a result, gave users 'the fits'.

So what I did today was totally reformat with a stand alone version of XP Pro; to avoid getting the Sonic crap put on by the XP Home HP recovery disks. Will try again later this afternoon. If the 'standard' Nero insstructions given heretofore, will then try the rar option.

On another subject, you really MADE MY DAY DUDE!!!!! It's been 60 odd years since anyone called me "Son".

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!
