OK, I'll bite. What do you like about Vista the best? Is there anything about it you don't like?

... gonna wait until the kinks and what not are discovered and dealt with. XP's been stable and highly useable. Guess I'm just not bleeding edge guy.

well i am pretty happy with windows xp, it took microsoft quite a long time to work out the problems with the os almost 5 years to be exact. But in the case of vista, from what i have seen all the drm copyright bs crap they have loaded the os up with looks pretty bad. but hey you never know the os is still in it's infancy and maybe it will take a steer for the better, if it does i would love to use it lol.

Vista's awesome, but sadly it will probably get a lot of flack from message boards such as this one for simply being Microsoft.

OK, I know I don't have to go far out on a limb to call you a fucktard, or at least a fanboy.
Members on this board have been beta testing copies since the FIRST version of Longhorn was leaked.
boards such as this one
Oh you mean a wide variety of users from across the globe that use varied OS and have various preferences, unlike a MS fanboy? Yeah, that would be us.
for simply being Microsoft
Ok, now we understand, you just escaped form rehab. Nothing is "simply being Microsoft" it takes years of muddling around pushing broken code to unwilling suspects and calling them customers in order to be considered "for simply being Microsoft".
Be careful where you put your foot in your mouth. In some forums you get banned, in others you get your ass handed to you repeatedly.
Also, you don't know whom of us may really be on the inside, which would probably make you much less qualified were the truth known.

IMO, i heard this already here in this forum
something like this
"XP: it takes more than five years, until now they did not get perfect, so better i wait until Vista gets to SP2"

I like MS, I like Bill Gates, I love XP. So what. Thats my opinion. I do not see any need/reason for Vista at this time. Its a great deal for the DRM community and has some nice ways to interface windows but I won't touch it. I will have to be forced into it just like I am with every OS.

I like Vista. I've played with the RTM version and I have to say, when I log back onto XP, I feel like XP is for little kids. XP feels very cartoonish to me. Vista is a big upgrade in my opinion and I like how it feels and operates. Things seem to run very smooth too. However, I just can't get the sound to work on Vista.

Perhaps you should go back to the "little kids" OS. Only the "big boys" know how to install drivers.

Not really trying to dig at you, but saying an os like XP is just for kids, is a bit silly. I have no problem using xp, in fact its a pretty decent offering from microsoft considering the nightmare that was ME, and i am certainly no kid. I quite happily switch between xp and ubuntu depending on my needs.
I will not be upgrading to vista in the forseable future as it is absolutely pointless. In fact i would like to know why you don't go back to XP if can't get your audio drivers to work.
Cue the new bandwagon..........Vista rox, XP sux!!

Will I have the self control to wait for a while or will I jump right into Vista's steaming pool and get burned once again?
