I bet you're just getting topic reply notices right? That's not spam. You have to unsubscribe from all threads.

I got some zeropaid mail. It was something about how the site is different and advertising stuff like CollegeSwarm.

This thread is suited for the feedback forum. Therefore I moved it here. Yes I know what you're talking about and hopefully this will be remedied sooner than later

Hmm mine was about "cheap viagra," and a cure for "balding." Is somebody trying to tell me something? :hi

You should not be getting emails from us if you have "Receive Email from Administrators" set to CHECKED.

Also, come on! This is not spam!

Well I am, if your sending out to all, its ignoring my settings

I would rather it stop than add the site to a spam list, I have thosands of email coming in everyday, I dont want to add this site to any spam list, so would prefer the problem is fixed.

"You havnt visited in a while" would be no problem, but a page full of junk is bad

Also, come on! This is not spam!

I didnt ask for it, and so it is SPAM

I dont want spam with my green eggs and ham.....
I do not like them in a box.
I do not like them with a fox.
I do not like them in a house.
I do not like them with a mouse.
I do not like them here or there.
I do not like them anywhere.
I do not like spam with my green eggs and ham.
I do not like them, Sam-I-am.

Spam is good fried with eggs. I happen to like Kam better though.

btw, I got the same email with the same settings. Fortunately gmail allows me to mass archive all of my spam. So what's the big deal?

I know, ZP sends one "e-mail," spam, whatever, in like what 3 years, I dont know.....not bad if u ask me.....some people have a lower tolerance than others I guess.

Spam list it is then

Here's a suggestion. Why doesn't ZP offer up a newsletter where they could discuss site happenings, and also stuff like College Swarm. Users could then accept or reject the newsletter. It's not spam if it's in a newsletter.

We do, we have a news list. besides, this is built into vbulletin.

I think hes thinking of something a little fancier, like a real newsletter, not an RSS Feed, something personalized...

This other site I belong to allowed me to click onto an option either upon registration or from my member's control panel. It allowed me to receive a newsletter every once in a while in my email. In the newsletter are site-related, and other news, along with the odd advertisement.

That's what I mean. Is there one of those here? If there is I missed it. Also...if there is such a thing as what I just described, I don't understand what the problem is. You could have just put the thing that was complained about in the newsletter when you sent it out.

Personally I didn't mind that College Swarm thing. It didn't bother me. I'm just saying for those it did, the newsletter approach is a possible compromise.

On the HP theres a registration box you can use to subscribe to the HP news.....each day it generates an e-mail listing the daily ZP news.....check it out.

A news letter that is little more in depth and personalized is an interesting idea though, will think about that one.

Wonder if the guy who started this thread quit ZP altogether. Never seen someone so spam allergic, as again, one lousy e-mail in like 3 years, wah. No wonder Jorge is so hesitant about sending people e-mail about anything, even something so important as news about ZP 2.0

I noticed that threads posted in from a couple years back, that are still being posted in like CH's daily thought, cannot be unsubscribed. I've tried many times, but I still get an email when a new reply happens. I'm guessing it is because of the software upgrades and changes over time. It's pretty annoying but lately I just do not even check my email unless I am expecting anything anyway.

I dunno why everyone gives you shit soul because you seem to really try to do the right thing with this site. No sarcasm at all. I mean, I'm not exactly fond of your political beliefs, but I have to give credit where it is due. :)
