The MPAA has opened a new front in their often Orwellian attempts to indoctrinate today's youth about copyrights and piracy. Their latest plan of action has been aimed at the Boy Scouts in Los Angeles, the city that serves as the heart and soul of the MPAA.

I read about this, too. I wouldn't have a problem with this being offered or my with my kids participating IF it offered a balanced approach including equal chapters and consideration given to the FAIR USE aspect of copyright.

As it is now, it's nothing more than corporate propaganda and basic brainwashing.

How sad.

Well, I am assuming that their belief is they are teaching kids not to steal. So I can see how that makes sense in terms of the Boy Scout code, etc., just updating it for new times and all that.

Copyright infringement is not stealing. That aside, Boy Scouts suck! Could they possibly suck any more? Oh, let's throw in a Thought Crime merit badge while we're at it. No, it's all about the Spiral Scouts (http://www.spiralscouts.org/), they're the ones who have the best stories coming out of summer camp.
