Hi guys,

hoping someone can be really kind and post something on the Revolutiontt forums. I've been a member there for a good year or so but i forgot my password and the password recovery system is broken.

I request a password reset get a email with a URL to click. On clicking the link it says "your new password will be sent within a few minutes". I've been waiting for 4 days...

I therefore think their password recovery system is borked. I don't want to loose my Stats as i've got 100gb+ upload etc.

Anyone can post this on the internal Revolution forum? I would be... i cant cause i cant login.

Thanks alot.

They Are really fucked up, The only thing I did was to seed with a very slow connection so it took a long time to become power user and get a good ratio. I broke a hdd seeding there. And to thank me they disable my account. I didn't leech a singel thing, The only MB I downloaded was the samples to the movies I was seeding because i didn't have them and it looked like I was a leecher at 99% so I had to download them to become a seeder.

I will never again bee fooled, they disable accounts that have a good ratio so they don't have a chance to leech. and then they get better speeds.

They are cheaters, I was loged in the day before they disabled my account so it is not because of inaktivity. I used the right client and never hit n run I had uploaded something like 60GB and downloaded maybe 150MB or even less. And now I can not do anything about this and they know that.

So remember that you are never safe at http://www.revolutiontt.net and if you use it remember to never have more ratio than 1.00 because they prefer to disable accounts that have not began to leech and have seeded for weeks or even months. Idiots are running this tracker and they are cheaters I know several people that got their account disabled just because they had a god ratio and the admins wanted to steal everything they had seeded.

There are several trackers better then http://www.revolutiontt.net and they don't cheat. Dont belive them if they say they made a mistake because it is impossible to make a mistake like this, and they never do this mistakes on 1.00 accounts because they have nothing to gain. It is good aslong as you seed but when it is time to leech they disable your account because of that they get god speeds themselves and thanks to the good speed they can fool even more people to join and 9 of 10 people want to become power users so they don't have the wait time for new torrents. The only way to not get cheated is to download every GB you upload, however I can not seed as fast when I leech at the same time because I only have ADSL so the fastest way to become a power user is to only seed in the beginning. So remember people don't use their tracker. They are the worst cheaters of all........

In defense of one of the best trackers there is: RevoTT never "just bans" people. Except in the most extreme cases, members are ALWAYS warned before they get banned.

Next about your claims of them somehow "using" you for your precious little ADSL are spurious at best since I (and all of my invitees) have ADSL connections ranging from 1mbit to 8mbit and none of us have a ratio lower than 4 (mine is 6.5)

"just seeding" is NOT the only choice for new members to become "power users" - they give you a handsome starting credit to work with, you just have to use a little strategy in CHOOSING which files you should go for at first (to get above the 10GB cutoff) Smart users usually start with a TV show or < 1GB movie (like a 700mb) and seed it until you have built up a cushion. Short of that you can BUY your way out of upload "debt" at a very reasonable rate. This is an option chosen by many who's connections are slower than what is practical to hold a good ratio on RTT. The final word though, is that if you can't afford the bandwidth, RTT may be too high-end for you indicating that you should stick to public trackers.

It sound to me like you never quite figured out how it goes over at the chez Revo.

Then to defend the ops personally: They're fantastic ops. Plain and simple. The odd example of the disgruntled kiddie aside, the forums are some of the most civil and polite anywhere on the web. The community is strong, friendships are formed all the time and it has TREMENDOUS loyalty from its (good) members.

If a mistake was made with your account, and I suppose with a php/mysql setup like a tracker and forum, things can go wrong and since the membership is well over 70k you cant assume that you're SO special that they're just gonna jump right up to help you right away. But if you want any chance whatsoever of having your account restored, slandering the site and its ops is a terrible strategy.

I agree with slobeck about the moderators at RevTT. I once had a problem with invites not getting to the invitees and after talkin in the IRC room one moderator went in to the settings checked it out reset my invites back and I was good to go.

No I do not need an invite Helena hopefully down the road I can gain access to the trading post though.

But there is NO trading post for RTT. In fact trading invites will get one banned permanently. As will selling them. Getting access isn't that hard. It involves a lost social art called "shmoozing" Basically, make friends. BTW: people like me who find requests for or offers of RTT invites around the web can and do report it to ops. You'll find us very protective. It's ironic, all one needs to "offer" in "trade" for an invite is friendship. But like any relationship to which one would apply such a label (as friend) it needs to be based on some demonstration of that friendship in some way that most of us would recognize. Which makes it a gift to a friend, not some business transaction we'd call a "trade." It's the SPIRIT of the rule that counts here.

slobeck... I was talking about the trading post on this site (zero Paid) not revolution. I only give out revTT invites to people I know and are actually friends with.

I got kicked off revoultiontt because I didn't know what seeding was, I didnt konw how to get the torrent to seed after I removed it from the bottom of azureus ( I was noob... I admit it) so now I am unauthorized is there any way to get that fixed? I didn't understand when came to bit torrent and now some people on torrent-thunder.com took the time to help me understand how it works. I now have a ratio of 4.147 on that site and would have a better one on rev because I understand what I did by not seeding. I would love to get back on rev but I don't know how. If any one can help I would greatly appreciate it. I don't understand IRC because again I am a noob, so trying to talk to them on that wont help me.

After everybody that hasn't burned RevTT in the past gets their accounts, I'll worry about yours. You had a chance and fucked it up. If you're too lazy to figure out how to use a simple IRC chat (hint: Google), I'm WAYYYYY too lazy to bother helping you. You expect to download for free AND have someone else fix your mistake? Sure, we'll get right on that.
