How about on ZP homepage, not having any filesharing apps listed, but the section to go to.. And update them all with PROS/CONS of how they are. Because this is just not working. Kazaa lite?? Old old and needs to be burnt.
And guides dont need a DESCRIPTIVE paragraph. Just a title.. How to burn music/dvd. How to encode.. ANd such. This will allow less scrolling down and up. As well as the forums were nice on the side.

Just an observation. Every time ZP changes something regardless of what it is %80 don't like it. In time most appreciate or at least get used to the new format. Time will tell whether it is good or bad. But personally I'd rather see the overview of the forums without having to scroll down the page as the forums are the heart and soul of ZP not replayed news stories (although interesting) I can find elsewhere.

"Elsewhere" is the culmination of well over a hundred sites and also regularly includes original news as well. What's not to like about that?

Could just as easily set up the Forum Boards to be your start page and skip he HP altogether. Sidebar of HP previous listing 10 top forum topics cant be better than looking at the boards to begin with right? :icon_cycl

i think it *looks* better, but in realality its kinda messy. i have to scroll down WAY too far for anything important/intersting. also, all the news topics look like google ads, so i find myself ignoring them.

i think the "featured software" column needs to be a row across the screen, it takes up half the screen alone right now. another complaint is the two column news posts. it looks nice, but its much harder to read. you go to any site and you will see that its all in one column

currently, the homepage is a little larger than 4 pages (by scrolling down) on my screen. i have to scroll through 2 pages worth, just to see somthing i may want to click on. thats pretty bad.

i guess im one of those 80% that dont like changes, but im trying to be constructive here and not just start screaming "HAAATTTTEEEE!!!!!"

Every time the site changes, I have to ask myself...Why?

Was there a bug in the system? Was something not working? Will the change make the site load faster or provide users with more options?

If the answer to any of the above is YES, then change is good. If the answer is NO, then changing the site just because you want it to look different really sucks. It's like some stranger coming into your house and rearranging your furniture or your kitchen cabinets without your permission.

My answer is a resoundng NO.. I DON'T like it.

This could be the worst layout of any webpage I have ever seen! The flow is terrible, the articles are crowded, articles, tuts, advertisements, the polls, the top software, whatever...they all are scrambled together and all equally suck! I have been visiting Zeropaid.com for a very long time now and this interface is the worst. Am I the only one that feels this way? Zeropaid.com is now off the favorites toolbar.

Its been a little while since I last visited and I came back to see the new layout.
It's just my opinion, but I think the page layout is the worst it has ever been.
Everything is up on screen at the same time in a non-linear format.
Its just an orgy of information that is thrown upon the viewer and like someone said it is begining to look like one of those "advertisement" sites that one stumbles upon(and quickly leaves) once in a whlie.

I appreciate the constant efforts to update and realize that yea, about 80% of the time, there are unhappy people about the new changes. However, maybe that is saying something. Maybe we dont need the change and I dont think the site is as popular as it was in its early days.

For example, I remember when the zeropaid news section was bustling with comments. Then the comments were changed, and that section at ZP has never been the same(although I think news coverage has improved in terms of content - thnx soulxtc).

Well, thats my opinion.

IMHO the ads shouldn't be in the position they are. Right now they are at the top, in a place you would naturally look for useful information. If I didn't know the site at all, and came to zp's homepage, I would leave because it's messy. Things are sectioned off, but it's as though someone just cut and pasted stuff in to fit place without considering what people look for when viewing a website that comes up under file sharing search results.

I admit I'm not an active member of the forum but I visit zeropaid nearly every day. I have to say that I'm not a fan of the new layout. I think the main focus should be new stuff. The way it is currently everything is jumbled up. I would like a page with one column that had the latest news, reviews, and how-to's showing them in chronological order. A good example for zeropaid to follow would be maxconsole.net. They have everything but you're able to get details easily within a few clicks.

My bookmark is the new posts page.
Has been that way for me too since 2005.

I'm going to be blunt here, it looks way too cramped and messy. Me myself, I love to see simple symmetry... the page is awkward looking with the tabs, the program then the ads.... it just doesn't look nice.

It needs a good header and then the information spaced out nicely, I think there is way too much text on it for a homepage, more colours and images would be better, maybe even a page that you didn't have to scroll down on.

I'm using 1600 x 1200 and can see everything... Course I'm on a 22" monitor otherwise I'd have to be at lower rez.

It should probably be optimed for 1024 x 768.

Hey guys, remember when the new posts section was switched from the left to the right side and we all raised hell? Or was it that it was switched from the right to the left and back to the right again? I forget. No matter, just a bit funny that we're back to this again.

I bumped mine up to 1152x864 just for ZP! I don't like to surf the web at that rez because its bad on the eyes and most sites like ZP are not graphic intense enough to justify the high rez. Maybe I'll bump up the font size and see how that looks. For the record my graphics card kicks ass but my monitor is only a 19 incher. There is no reason to change the HP for lower rez settings. Its a white and blue plain jane page. What gives?

K I'm posting this here because it's too much of a pain in the ass to search for a previous thread or creating a new one but..

What the FUCK is up with the slowness of the site? It's really painful. 3 minutes per page? Can't say I am going to spend much time browsing/posting until this is cured somehow. I doubt I am the only one who feels that way too, lol.

current site problems
Hey all, we are currently being DDOS'd.. hang on, I am blocking IPs live as I type this, so the Server may be going up and down.. sorry you will be able to get back to bitching about the homepage shortly.

Ive been wondering what up myself. It started yesterday on and off. Its fine at times then suddenly won't load. Whos behind it? Hmmmm

Don't worry, we will keep "bitching" until we help you guys get it right!

Ok, I will add my two cents in now. The new page looks pretty good, it will take some time for me to get use to it. But I would really like to see the Forums New Posts at the top of the page instead of the Featured Software. The rest of it, I can deal with.

Thanks.:icon_thum

It is at the top now you just have to turn up the rez on your PC. Go figure. The news section needs to be worked on, still seems messy to me.

Loading fast today, or at least right now. I didn't realize you were being DDoS'd though haha, but again there was no way to really search without losing my mind on the slow down.

I guess it really doesn't matter anyway since we're down to about 8 regular posters and maybe 15 new posts a day (not including the one-hit wonders in the BT invite thread). This place is deader than Eazy E and the Pope's sex life combined.

ZP is like a deer hit in the road that just needs to be finished off.

we are currently looking for a new design layout for the homepage.

Thank god! This is my first time back here in a few weeks and I thought I had a stroke or somehting.
I didn't recognize a god damn thing when I logged on. Hell I don't even see any thread topics on the home page. What the hell is up with that?

YOu must change your resolution to at least 1152 x 864 to see new posts on the homepage.
