Zeropaid Last.FM Group

Hi guys if anyone wants to join the newly setup Last.FM group for zeropaid users, I've set one up here. (http://www.last.fm/group/Zeropaid%2B-%2BThe%2Bfile%2Bsharing%2Bportal)

New users:

You can join last.fm if you don't have an account already here. (https://www.last.fm/join/)

Next you need to download either the last.fm program or plugin for your music player from here. (http://www.last.fm/tools/downloads/)

Plugins are available for the following programs:

Yahoo! Music Engine
Yahoo! LaunchCast
Windows Media Player
Winamp
iTunes
foobar2000 0.9
QCD
J. River Media Center
AlbumPlayer
MP3Toys

Errr... Whats the object of joining ?

To listen to streaming radio and provide streaming radio on a p2p basis?

Dont get it download a plugin for what exactly do they provide streams or does the group have to provide them?

I'd join but it no longer works with my version of foobar and Im as of yet unable to get library in WMP11 to work. So until such time as either of those prior stated things changes I wont be onboard

To listen to streaming radio and provide streaming radio on a p2p basis? No, not at all. It was more to do with the "now playing" thread.

Last fm *doesn't* stream mp3's from your computer or anything like that, it merely records what you're listening to, either individually or as a group.

Here's the Oink's PP group stats for an idea of what I'm talking about.

If you can find me a plug-in that works for me I'll use it. Just give me a link. I've been a member for awhile I just stopped using it when the plug-in randomly stopped working with my player

I want to join.. I just didn't understand how to use it. It would record what I had played.. But what should I have done afterward? I mean there was no custom radio station or anything afaik... I will join the group though :)

Your account is all setup and working by the looks of things, nice one.

The stats as a group are weekly, so have to wait a week and see what everyone comes up with. Then you have the option of listening to the radio station based on whatever tunes come out from the weekly tally.

The only thing I can think of if the plugins aren't working for you, is to download the standalone version from here:

On the bright side, I found a greasemonkey script for FF that makes the tracks searchable in oink.

I don't know anything about Greasemonkey but i've just installed it to FIrefox
Is it just a matter of cut and pasting the script to get it to work??

After you've installed grease monkey and restarted FF, click here (http://theqwerty.info/OPP/Last.OiNK.user.js) to install the OiNK script.
