In a post that comes close to bridging the gap between virtual and physical reality, O'Reilly Radar points to a "hypnotic" view of a world map that illustrates a single day's traffic on Google.

As a few observers note, the pulsating chart bears some parallels to a Google map posted at Georgia Tech earlier this year that depicts what the world looks like after dark. Others see a different resemblance, comparing it to the Genesis Effect from "Star Trek II."

Its kinda spooky as Africa's almost pitch black.

Yeah, thats a country is riddled with issues... same with part of asia pitch black too.

i didnt notice before it says 2003 i wonder wot the traffic looks like now?
