yes it has hit the net - ten days before release! i'm listening to the full paris hilton album paris as i write this post and yes it's kinda dumb & silly but 1000x better than i first originally thought when i heard she was releasing an album! i will fully admit right here & now that i actually love the single stars are blind which stands out on the album as one of the best tracks and is a complete guilty pleasure! the whole thing is really short too - 11 tracks clocks in at about 40 minutes - this certainly is not a ground-breaking record by any means but it's decent enough to toss on at a party - it will release officially on aug 22nd and perhaps you can find one of the leaked versions on the web if you just can't wait (i suspect many of you can wait) popbytes over & out for now...xxoo!

Nothing, save "Stars Are Blind" - and I am unabashedly a lover of somewhat...shall we say, not great pop music, and I still think the song sucks. Let's face it, she'd never have an album out if she weren't Paris Hilton, it's not like she caught a break because she's a musical phenom or built up a following playing in bars or touring or whatever. I guess props to her for doing something, unlike other celeb types who don't do anything at all, but it doesn't mean her album is good, or that I think she's a "real" artist. I don't think Britney Spears is necessarily a "real" artist either, but at least she made it on her own merit, and not on virtue of getting a lot of coverage on Page Six and doing the Simple Life. Celebrities getting to make albums just because they are celebrities isn't new, but still.

(I really just can't stand Paris Hilton, so, I expect my bias is showing.)

The socialite-turned-actress-turned-singer admits she was reduced to tears when she first heard her debut album in its entirety. She told Blender magazine: "I, like, cry when I listen to it, because it's so good."However, Paris is so paranoid about music piracy she never tells anyone when her tracks are being played in clubs, to stop them ripping her off.

She added: "Everyone's like, 'Who is this?' I don't tell. Because I don't want someone putting their phone up and recording it and making a ringtone of it." The 25-year-old also stays silent when her music is being played in clubs so she can gauge an honest reaction.

Paris explained: "I think when people don't know it's me, they won't judge it. But if they know it's me, then they'll be like, 'Ugh.' They won't even dance. The 'House of Wax' actress also thinks people get the wrong idea of who she really is.

She explained: "I think people expect me to be this b***h snob, but I'm really nice, and I feel bad if I'm mean.
