Before you download anything off the internet, you should know a bit about it. So, I would advise you to Google search bittorrent and do some reading. As far as content, bittorrent is only a means of exchanging information. The information could contain a virus or a simple wallpaper. You need to know what you are downloading before you download it...

Perhaps join a BT community and learn.

Your questions are a bit broad, and basic (naive) to be answering with a simple response.

Good Luck!

I had a simple question, asking if the bitorrent that I am downloading, consists of any internet threats? How could I Google it, if it is only one, particular torrent, at one particular site?

Listen to the Wiccan....

The simple answer to your question, if you can call it simple...it that ANYTHING you download off the internet is a potential threat that could contain a virus or spyware. Anything.

Wiccan gave you good advice. You need to read up a bit on what a .TORRENT file is, and how they the whole BitTorrent concept works. You don't need to have a great understanding of the programming or anything, but you should definitely learn the basic concept.

Sure there is...lots and lots of ways (see that link in the upper left corner of the website? The one that says Software? And the one that says Guides? Click that for a brief listing of some of the more popular ways).

But NONE are without some risk. As stated earlier ANYTIME you download something off the interent, there is a potential risk of getting a virus or spyware infection. That's why it's a really good idea to take a little time and read. Try to understand a little about what it is you are getting into.

Yes, but I virus check and spy ware check the files, before I open them! I Trend Micro PC-Cillin Internet Security 2006 for a virus check, and Trend Micro Anti Spyware 3.0 for the spy ware! It is still not going to detect everything? Anti Virus and Anti Spyware performs an update, daily! Still not enough?

If your going to public sites, where anyone and everyone can, and upload anything at any given time. Then you are facing a terrible threat. Virus, spyware, mpaa/bsa/riaa, maybe even the Republican party. Just go back to kazaa, limewire, winmx, and before you jump feet first into bit torrent. Do alot of research by reading guides, searching on google, and staying clear of the sites your going to now for BIT torrents.

You shouldnt be paying for any of the filesharing you do. If you want something safe and virus free as well as free try a private BT site or Newsgroups.

Paying for newsgroups is the only thing worth spending money on in terms of filesharing.
