RE: Files downloaded from SimpleMP3 etc
Would anyone like an application to open a directory and rename all the files found threre-in with a zip/rar/other extension.
It'll only take me a couple of day or so.

Sounds pretty good....I'll give it a try if you do make it....also I had an idea but since I'm a lazy shit I'll probably never do it...
A small program that sorts files from one folder in to many folders depending on size.....so you can set it to sort files in 700 or 650 mb into folders an it trys to sort them in a way that fully fills each folder with files.
A nice little program to help people who burn CD's out....instead of sitting there for 20 minutes trying to fill a damn CD the program sorts the files into 700mb chunks without changing any of the data......I'm to lazy to work on it..plus the place I work for refuses to let me bring a PC in....LOL.....so if ya have free time maybe you'll want to give it a go.
Peace all, Later

I'll make a start in a week or so. iI can't relate to the CD problem you have CCSDude. What are all these files you have?
Question : anyone has problems with SimpleMp3s, or 21stCentury MP3. I have, and I'd like to hear if you have too.

Pretty much anything..not like "these files"..just..mp3's pic's movies, tv shows. It's just the hassle of trying to fit the puzzle together when building a folder to burn to CD. You know , create a folder, toss shit in folder, check folder size, toss more in, check again, oop's now your 500kb's over the limit....try again LOL It's a hassle when your a psycho fuck who refuses to let a CD go with only 650 mb's on a 700mb CD. I asked if I could get a PC up in my shitty 'cave' at work...no go yet....fucking managers! Anyway good luck with your program.

There's always renamer..
http://download.com.com/3000-2248-2816354.html?tag=lst-0-1
But it doesn't sort files into folders by type, size, etc.so if you add those functions it'd be kewl.
I use WakeNet's (Anti-Leech) NetPumper on those sites now, less hassle and no web-browser based downloader.

I think a freeware database tool where you can enter in a movie name and have it added to a database of movies would be a heck of a way to catalog your downloaded movies cough I mean retail DVD's :P Then that way you know what movies you have and dont have by simply checking your database listed in Alphabetical order.
Any thing currently doing this in a nice fashion I wish to be able to manually enter titles.
Then have the ability to create a database of Recorded TV Shows and other material as well. Note pad just dosent cut it for most folks and the fancy DBtools that are out there just have way too much extra unessacary stuff for this type of job. Basically a Database tool shouldnt be all that impossible to make up and woudl be of great use for many.
I am sure theres something out there but if there were one specifically for movies and ez to use it'd be great.
If it aint freeware or it contains spyware then screw it
Just a thought cause many folks have media both on CDR/DVDR as well as there computer. And heck I dont think anyones bored enogh to build up such a thing but hey worth a shot it'd help the folks from the thread storing things on CD/DVD is the way I look at it.
Suggestion nothing more nothing less.

how i database my collection of CDRs is i have a folder named ceedees, in that i have subfolders named 001, 002, 003... ect ect.
then when i burn a disk, i select all and copy the shortcuts to the subfolder with the same name as the CDR.
i can later right click on my ceedees folder and select search and i can search all my subfolders and see what disk the files are on based on the subfolder name.
i doubt that would help much for DVDs though, unless you used txt files or something to show up in the searches

He didn't reopen it, cj did. Also, considering the only thing you know (and dislike) about CCSDUDE is that he tends to go overboard with the child jokes, you have no basis to call him a child molester. He's banned anyway, so cut the high horse bullshit since he obviously can't even defend himself.
