Anyone has experiences with Newsleecher v3.7 final?

Each time I enter the key, it was accepted then Leecher asked me to exit and restart, but on the subsequent launch, the trial window appeared again.

I have modified my hosts file to route newsleecher.com to localhost and disabled DNS caching. I am running XP Pro.,

Some early posts have mentioned Newsleecher v2.0 is easier to handle, any comments on its NZB downloading performance vs. v3.7?

Tried Grabit but it often failed to decode messages, and it has some kind of memory leak which exhausts windows resources after an over-night run.

Using Forte Agent3, I can get a 50MB piece in about 2.5 mins. With Leecher v3.7, a similar sized file takes just over 1 min. Such is the reason I am not giving up yet.

Thanks for the help.

Hmm I'm running 3.7 final with no problems.

Are you sure you have

127.0.0.1 www.newsleecher.com
127.0.0.1 newsleecher.com

in your hosts file?

I need other info that can't be discussed here so if you want help send me a PM.

I have 3.0 beta 2. Which works wonderful. I do have the host file to block it, i do it before installing newsleecher. This program likes to dial back =(

To the fellow forum member who PM-ed my on 8/9 in regard to this thread, I have reponded to your message.

Sorry about the delay, I haven't been here for quite a while.

To all who've asked...

you can not use supersearch because newsleecher must connect to newsleecher.com and if you allow newsleecher to connect to newsleecher.com it invalidates your key.

So...

If you don't set up your host file correctly and accidently allow newsleecher to connect to newsleecher.com it will invalidate your key.

If you can do a system restore to before you installed newsleecher you can try again.

Otherwise...

There is nothing you can do short of obtaining a new key, or going to an older, different version.
