It appears that some German scientists have come up with a way to create dark matter.
Hmmm... This could only lead to a/an dark matter or anti-matter weapon and more war.
That's my theory, what's yours?

anti matter has been around for a long time, its just too unstable. translation - we are not smart enough to use it wisely. just like the atom bomb. why kill 200,000 plus civilians just to show we have a bigger di*k?
all this proves the inevitability of doomsday. call it what you will, i call it human nature. but even so, let it come.
All this dark matter and other like-techs are reminiscent of star trek. its funny how the things we see in movies could end up being true in the near and far future.

First off Dark Matter and Anti-matter are two very different things.

Exactly, We have the potential to blow the world up 100+ times over. At any given time the US has between 1200 and 2000 Nukes Ready to launch at Def-Con 5. The most peaceful state of readiness. This amounts to total potential Global destructive capability of about 5-10 times over. Obviously Def-Con 1 is much, much worse.
Not to say they won't try to use anti-matter as a weapon, its just we can kill ourselves just fine without it.

I guess at this juncture it really doesn't matter as we are all doomed anyway.

Dark Matter is thought to comprise 80% of the mass of the universe. It's not harmful or dangerous at all, it's probably all around us.
This has nothing to do with anti-matter (which can be extremely dangerous) or weaponry. Just good science.

Actually, russia has two time more nukes than we do. we have about 4000 and they have 8-9000. while india has 1200, and china has 800. so if we all thought each other to be assholes one day, there may be nothing left of this galaxy.....pffff.
good thing i live for today.
everyone knows there may be no tomorrow.

The numbers very greatly depending on how you classify a weapon. The trident missile for instance is usually considered a single weapon although it usually contains 8 independent warheads and land based ICBM's can carry more. These are called Multiple independently targetable reentry vehicle (MIRV) weapons. I think the current numbers for "Active Warheads" is about 10,000 for the US 16,000 for Russia. India Pakistan both have about a hundred. Israel probably has just under 200. The rest of the Nuclear club members have between 100-900 apiece except for North Korea which might have 10.
Another fun fact both Nuclear super powers typically do not destroy obsolete weapons they simply dismantle them and put them in storage. There are thousands of these old Chevy’s lying around in their respective mini-storages waiting for someone to decide what to do with them.
