I currently have SP2 so I decided to try to install lvllord's tcp/ip patch to free up some of the half-open connections for BitTorrent. However, whenever I try to run the executable it comes up with an error saying "Windows cannot open the specified device, file, etc. etc. due to not having the right permissions" (or something to that effect). I'm currently logged on as administrator and I have no idea why this is coming up.
Anyone know?

That is odd. Make sure you have a trustworthy version of the patch. Maybe try it in safemode.

This is straight from the site. Safe mode be an option, but now it's been bothering me why this is happening in normal Windows boot.
