Do you have any idea whyI can't seem to download anything atall? I can search for stuff and hit "download", it will go into the traffic bar, but it will not start downloading. How can I fix this problem? I don't have a firewall.

I would try something different on the same network
www.limewire.com
www.frostwire.com
www.bearshare.com/lite/
try one of them.

try one of them.
I also tried limewire before this, it would give me an error message "LimeWire was unable to load the Java Runtime Environment. Please download and install a newer version from http://www.java.com"
But I have the latest version of Java Runtime Environment! So I don't know what's going on..
Ok, i'm going to reinstall..
edit: OK, I tried to uninstall it but now I get this error message " Error 1723. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor."
Which DLL file is that? And since I don't have it, can you send it to me?
OK, I installed Frostwire, and it won't open..
OK, I installed BearShare(BS), and it won't even get me connected! Why is this happening? Help..

Do a "clean' install! Get a registry cleaner & system cleaner like free CCleaner. Unintall those p2p programs & Java Runtime to, then clean your registry & system to make sure your Windows is cleaned. After cleaning, then install the Java Runtime & the p2p program!

What's in the Java Runtime error message? Did you run a registry cleaner, to make sure nothing is left behind in the registry? Because it is not a good idea to have two versions of Java Runtime on the machine, it could cause conflicts?
