I've posted 3 replies to try to help people with questions.2 didn't even post after a couple minutes so I said fuck this and closed my browser. The other one wound up as a double post because I haven't been posting here much(even for me) and I didn't realize how bad the site has become.I thought maybe there was a problem on my end.
I would like to suggest some more ads. That would probaly speed the site up and make it a much better place.

I still miss the Vivid ad.

It sure was a hell of a lot classier than those nasty booty ads of fofs.

I can relate. I don't like what ZP has become, but I still find myself browsing here. I spend time on a few p2p sites. ZP use to be my favorite, but as you mentioned, ads, sidebars, etc. It's painful to view on the monitor at my work, 14" :(

I spend more time on slyck and sharing boards then I do zeropaid. To mutch crap here, mind you it's gotten better from when I put up with it, I just don't hang around one place exclusively anymore.

Slyck and Slashdot are the best. I just come to Zeropaid hoping for something new and it seems to be the same forum questions or rude moderators. The forums at private P2P sites seem to be alot better. I hate it because ZP has so much potential.

All the mods need to take off their clothes.

If you all are going to be rude then the least you could do is be nude too.

Very odd…
I see no ads, sidebars or popups when I visit ZP using Firefox with Adblock.

HOWEVER, when I use IE on ZP, Voila... there they are.

Also, what is this about? It appeared on the top of my screen when I logged in.

"Hello Krypt0 it appears that you have not posted on our forums in several weeks, why not take a few moments to ask a question, help provide a solution or just engage in a conversation with another member in any one of our forums?"

Sounds like I'm in school being yelled at by the teacher for not participating.:icon_salu

Cheers!

*edit*
Now, after I said that and started to browse the ZP Forums, all the damn text ads (similar to Google AdWords) appeared.

I have no choice but to use IE at work. I probably browse these forums more from work than anywhere else too, I might add.

Pooter, now you've put that vision of Hunter, nude in my head. That's very rude...but ur not a mod...yet!

I dont see the text ads in either IE or Firefox
I used to see them in the news alot but not anymore
Using firefox cuts out the crap ad's for me.

Please tell me you guys are being sarcastic about the ads.... I hate those. If I wanted ads, I could run IE without protection. As it is, I use Opera with the built in pop-up blocker and have an an annoyance free visit.

Now for the rude comment... is it possible that could have happened? Yes it is. It kind of happened to me when I can back recently. The comment was made that I was here for the drawing. That certainly did not make me feel welcome - but others on the forum jumped in and gave me somewhat of a virtual hug. *thanks*

Now, I am not trying bust chops here, but staff have to be the most welcoming and set the bar at it's highest level when dealing with members. You, as staff, set the tone. Members will learn what is allowed by watching you. I think it is also really important to remember what is funny to one person, is not a;ways funny to another.

Now my personal moto is never offer constructive criticism without offering a fix or something contributory. So here is my contributary suggestion....

Why not put up a live shout. They are easy to implement and it allows people to chat in real time. It supports socialization, and fast live help. Both should help you to draw and retain members.

*steps off her soapbox and kicks it away*

Thanks! :icon_thum

I can vouche for that! I remeber that picture you posted of yourself last summer. You were wearing cutoff jeans and had the most blinding white legs I have ever seen. God only knows how bright your non-sun seeing nether regions are.

erm.. I don't think you know who the moderators are. Name off a "mod" that's rude.. Really I don't anything that's rude. I mean maybe there was some a-hole mods in the past (CCSdude *cough*)

The mods were only following the rules. It was ok at one time to ask for invites, then it was banned because it got out of hand, now soulxtc has re opened it again, because he's got it like that.

Interestingly enough, it was sonn after that thread that I decided that it would be a good idea to include a place where people COULD trade invites, so if anything your comments didnt fall on deaf ears, instead they were considered and implemented.

As for the drawing, people were just being a smart ass Wiccan, dont take it personal. I think everybody here certainly enjoys listening to all who contribute to this place, after all, who wants to talk to themselves all the time? Sometimes since you cant see the body language associated with a comment its hard to figure out what the person means. Thtas why things like ":)" or ":P" are important sometimes..... :D.....

Have to agree with you guys, too many times I have seen people screamed at because they didnt search around enough and actually dared to post a question. So what if its been answer before, you can a) answer it again, or b) direct them to the answer. I haven't been around much because of that happening a lot. Hopefully things can change :)

True enough. Whats worse is when someone new comes along and asks a question and a member pops in with the classic "use Google" response. Its likely the person found ZP by using Google and we should try to answer people so ZP can be thought of as a place to go to when they need help. Its like we are trying to run people off with a stick.

If members get tired of answering the same questions over and over (yes I know we all do!) then by all means take a break and just don't post for awhile or simply skip over the thread in question. Better yet, use the search button yourself, tell the person how you found the info they needed and point them to the thread they need to resolve their problem.
