XviD movie file:not playing in VLC

I ddld a movie titled :

nameofmovie..XviD-

this is not playing in VLC.

I am able to play other XviD movies on VLC and able to hear only audio in winamp/winMediaplayer.


Please Help!

First of all you are not supposed to mention file names here. You could have read the forum rules before joining and posting. You also could have put your same point across without mentioning names.

Have you tried other media players or only VLC?

Have you tried using a program like gspot (http://www.headbands.com/gspot/) which will tell you what codec is needed for the file. It might just be possible that it was mislabled.

try also uninstall and reinstalling your VLC
