i jst dl'd a tutorial for a building website (3gig+,whew, 8hrs dl'd)

but the problem its a ISO file
What i must do to see/read this file in my pc?
is there any convertion program needed?

In common use, an "ISO" is a file that contains the complete image of a disc. Such files are often used when transferring CD-ROM images over the Internet. Depending on who you're talking to, "ISO" may refer to all disc image files or only certain kinds.

Going by the more restrictive definition, an "ISO" is created by copying an entire disc, from sector 0 to the end, into a file. Because the image file contains "cooked" 2048-byte sectors and nothing else,

It sounds like you have a program on your hands. To use it, I suggest you burn it to disc.* It also sounds like one you will wish to keep.

*iso images can also be mounted within a virtual drive. Basically a piece of your hard drive is used to mimic a disc.

I would burn it and install unless you want it to reside on your pc. In which case using alcohol or daemon tools can mount the image, it takes part of your hard drive and registers as a cdrom drive, So the iso file will reside on that and the pc will run it like its running a disc, and will show you a install screen and stuff.

Well no, first off, Daemon Tools will make it so that you dont ahve to burn it all, it will creat a VIRTUAL DRIVE on yer PC that will then play it using this program......also, is the ISO in DVD format, you can tell by the size, if its less than like 800MB its a CD image, anything greater is a DVD....

The .iso will burn on a disc in the same manner, and with the same functionality with which it was taken off. The formatting is part of the .iso

So, if the program was one that worked entirely off the disc, that is how it will work after it is burned. If it was on a disk and was intended to be installed onto your PC, that will be the same after you burn it. The choice to burn CD or DVD is normally dictated by the file size - as stated above. :icon_tong

Your 3+ GB file should be burned onto a DVD.
