Well, After having my Dell 1905FP LCD for awhile now, I'm starting to get tired of the "Ghosting" due to the 20ms response time.
So, I'm looking around at some new LCD's and most come up with a 8ms Response which is alot better than 20ms. I'm not a big gamer at all, but I tend to watch TV through my pc but even the movent is a bit bothersum.
So, what's good out there? Any models that have built in USB ports like my Dell LCD? And of course it needs Analog as well as DVI.
Thanks

I bought a 20" ViewSonic from Costco and love it. It was very reasonable too, I might add.

l love my NEC MultiSync 1770GX... it has an integrated (powered) USB 2.0 hub, its black, has a relatively thin bezel, looks nice.... 8ms response, 1280x1024 native res... its pretty good, I like it. It gets good reviews (I think one mentioned "the color looked TOO good"). It's the 17" model, though.
The 19" model is the NEC MultiSync 1970GX, and should be quite a nice monitor.

I have a 19" GNU that I bought for 180£ (=335 USD) and it works great for games (8ms response time) and for internet. It lets down slightly on the greyscales during image editing but that's of no consequence since I hardly ever do that.

Go to pricescan.com and enter the product you might like, it checks the net for lowest prices.

OK, thanks. My Dell is good for internet right now, but for watching tV through my tv card, the images are kinda fuzzy, at least when there is movent, not terrible, but could be better I think. DVD's are not to bad.

I have stayed away from LCD's because of poor video game performace (blurry, ghosting). Does anyone use theirs for high speed gaming and what are the results?

Blurry? Play your game at the LCD panel's native resolution, this way there is no scaling. Also get DVI, it helps noticibly.
Ghosting? 8ms or less, and the LCD has quite the high response time.
I play UT2k4 and dont notice any problems.

I'm not surprised at 2ms response time!! That's the quickest out there to my knowledge. Don't go above 12ms if you don't want any ghost-like images. I pull off UT2k4, COD2 and BF2 without any distortions and i'm using VGA...havn't found a DVI lead yet:p

My roommate just bought one of the Samsung 204B's the other day and is using it now. Looks ok from what I can tell! Very similar to the Dell 19" I have now. Can adjust the height, tilt, Portrait or landscape, etc. I did notice ghosting on his though just from using the mouse.

Have you thought about widescreens?
I recently bought a Gateway FPD2185W (21" widescreen) - it just happens to be one of the first LCD monitors to support HDCP, or High Definition Copy Protocol. HDCP is the embodiment of lameness, but at least having a compatible display means that you won't have an obsolete LCD on your hands when Windows Vista arrives or when all this next-gen high-def gear starts showing up in stores and you want to watch a movie on a protected high-def Blu-ray discs or HD DVD. Anyway, the FPD2185W also has a integrated Faroudja chip for enhanced video processing, a built-in 4 port USB hub, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, 178 degree viewing angle (both vertical and horizontal), and an 8ms pixel response time.
I run Media Center, DVD and Cable TV play wonderfully. Games look great.
btw: It adjusts automatically from landscape to portrait...

I'm using Philips 190X6FB(8ms, DVI, USB, speakers). I bought it mainly because it has a 1 year warranty on zero defect pixels, and a 3 year warranty on the monitor.

I got a Hyundai ImageQuest L90D+ awesome picture, no deal pixels and amazing response time. Definately worth the price as well. Had it for a year now and its been working great!
Pretty cheap too: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824179014
Put it next to my old 19" and it was amazing the difference with the absence of the ghosting etc (old one was 20 or 25ms)
