Got a problem that i can't handle. Everytime i fire up kazaa resurrection i get hit with a pop up advert. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the latest one. I've used spybot and adaware, but both come up clean. The pop up is doing my brain in.

Anyone know how i can sniff out the mother and squash it?:icon_scra

Uninstall kazaa and quit using it. Its gonna be nothing but trouble. Also adware and spybots really arent effective since they keep updating to get by security of it all. Use something more stable, window washer, reg mechanic that guards things like that from happening. Even NOD antivirus wont let bundled adware install on my pc.

Run like hell man. The only thing worse then a spyware infected program is a spyware infected hack of a spyware infected program.

Shawners is right. Always use protection. I know it slows performance lessens the thrill and may seriously degrade the experience but nothings worse then wondering why my computer just doesn't seem right and why do my balls itch. Furthermore it's unlikely you'll ever track down the culprit as nobody wants to admit they have or have had a computer virus.

It's also good to note that even when cured of a particular infection it is still possible to be re-infected if your not careful. And remember even good protection and good habits won't always stop an infection if you believe everything a random website tells you. Being on the pill "does not" mean free of viruses.

In other words don't ever use kazaa

Where else can you find "girls and goats vol 5"?

Let people have their Kazaa if thats what they want. Its not like they can't see there are lots of other choices out there for themselves and if they can't then they deserve all Kazaa has to offer.

I downloaded Kazaa from zeropaid, so it's a clean version.

I sat back and scratched my head, put my Sherlock Holmes brain in, and decided that something i downloaded recently was trod on by someone defective. I did a system restore to better times, and downloaded the same Kazaa version from the same trustworthy source again.

The problem isn't Kazaa, it's something else i downloaded. Kazaa Resurrection is clean, and was designed that way.

It's something third party that's the problem, and anyone getting crap thrown at them everytime they fire up Kazaa Resurrection has the same third party problem, or they downloaded from the bogeyman himself.

As for the other choices, i got them, i got them all

...I thought people stopped using KLR in favor of K-Lite.

...K-Lite is as good as Kazaa is ever gonna get.

To answer your question, the popups are coming from your start page on KLR "filesharingplace websites".
To stop this, go to Options, KLR Options, change your Start Page to another website like http://www.yahoo.com , http://www.google.com or http://www.zeropaid.com .

It took me awhile to figure out why I was getting popups when starting KLR, after changing my Start Page to Yahoo, I got no more popups.

Thanks.:icon_thum
