Windows Vista Beta 2 (Official Download)

Microsoft have opened up the downloads for Windows Vista Beta 2, so anyone is now able to download it if they wish.

You can download it from:

That is the link to the 32 Bit English version, but on that page is also the 64 Bit version and other language versions.

After you've completed the download, you'll need to get a product key from the Microsoft website:

www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/getready/preview.mspx

Note: I suggest you use a program such as Download Accelerator Plus (http://www.mininova.org/tor/325721)to download the file since it's around 3.2GB

I'm downloading at a steady 1.3MB/s from their servers which will take about 40 Minutes.

10Mbps: 50 Minutes
3Mbps : 4.5 hours
1Mbps: 10 hours
768 kbps: 18 hours
256 kbps: 54 hours

It will take longer for the 64 Bit version to download

You need to sign-in with your :hi Windows Live™ ID (Passport):hi and you will be given a unique product key.

--> Or If you are like me and don't have one, It's not hard to make yourself a new ID with random "personal information"

Someone try it and post a review of p2p on the new vista plz. Julian gave us a taste here (http://www.filesharingblog.com/2005/07/28/p2p-meets-windows%e2%84%a2-vista-%e2%84%a2/) but I bet the experience is different now.

Yeah, i have NTL's 10Mbps package for cheaper then they offer 1Mbps to other customers, so i'm happy! :D
