Whats up people. Im just new to the site here as im starting to have problems with my download speeds and needed a bit of help from some people who know what they are talking about lol

ive recently just moved house and changed ISP's. i was on BT(uk) (1.1mb) but now im with Tiscali also in the UK at 2.3mb. i also re-installed windows and now im back to service pack 1. i like this a lot better than SP2 but if this is whats keeping my downloads slow ill change back to SP2. neways when i just got Tiscali put in my downloads were going at around 100-150 kpbs (after windows re-install). but for some reason they have completely slowed down and now i would be lucky if i could gather 6 or 7kbps :icon_scra

i am currently using BitSpirit (latest version) although i have also tried azureus and bitlord but still having the same problem. can anyone PLEASE help me out here. and if it matters im using a Sagem F@st 800-840 Modem. this is the one that Tiscali provided me with.

Thanks in advance...McGills

Seems like you haven't got your ports forwarded on the router. Check out this site www.portforward.com and...

How much have you downloaded reccently?

Tiscali UK claim not to have a bandwidth limit but many people have reported that their connectection mysteriously starts going slowly after downloading a few gigs. Have a look at how many people are complaining in the Tiscali support forums these days. A few years ago they changed their support forum so it can only be read by tiscali customers, concidentaly preventing passing websurfers from seeing the messages from lots of unhappy customers.

hi, do you download a lot, i am on tiscali as well, they keep sending me e-mails telling me to stop using p2p programs (i use bearshare) or they will regulate my bandwidth which would slow my downloading down
