Hi, I'm trying to get the full song titles (up to 31 characters anyway) to diplay on my mp3cd players.
Using Nero 6 I've selected ISO Level 2 for a max file length of 31 characters, but once i burn the cd i only get about 16 characters. I've experimented toggling combinations of restrictions on and off but no luck. i used to get 31 char. file names with Nero 5 but i can't remember if there was anything I did differently.
Any suggestions?

i've since read of people having the same problem with restricted dvd title lengths. seems to be a Nero6 oddity. Will have to try something else

might be a limitation of your player...check the disk in winamp and see if you get all the characters you expect to...or check it in your cd/dvd-rom/writer drive and see if it shows all the characters in window's explorer view...i'm fairly certain its a restriction of what your mp3 player is able to display.

And for the love of (fill in the blank), newbie if your post is the last post in a thread and you have something additional to say...edit your last post rather than posting again to yourself.

Full titles show in explorer but not on the player. The Nero5 made discs that worked for it showed titles in full caps in explorer, so something has changed. Will try Roxio, thanks

now I understand....but forgot how to fix this....you using an old version of nero..u need at least 6.17..it fixes that problem...your problem is using iso 9000 compliant file names instead of joliet mode....or vice versa I don't remember since I'm no longer using an old version of nero..but its something to do with either iso mode or joliet mode..try burning one as iso compliant and the other in joliet mode and see what happens.

i have 6.6.0.15 . the file system is either 'ISO 9660 only' or 'ISO 9660 + Joilet' , neither of which work for me. I'll look for an updated version, thanks
