hey I'm new to zeropaid, well long time reader but have just joined the forums. I've always just used shareaza for gnutella two, originally for it's multi-network...ness lol but now I only really use it for quick downloads and have never really experimented with any other client so I was just wondering....which is the most popular/favourable/quickest and why?

wouldn't mind a recommendation on a new bit of software to try out:icon_sant <yeah, like christmas

Does that even exist? I Been around this awhile, all pc's are different and some like others better then most that is floating around. Its not just a favorite thing, it depends on way your pc acts.. Some crashes, some cant connect, some slow and long queues, some never have anything.

I just started trying out that Shareaza Plus, but for some odd reason it just won't connect to the Edonkey network. I have my ports forwarded right!

Have you updated the eDonkey server list, its definately required.

Open Shareaza Plus > Shareaza Settings > eDonkey > eDonkey2000 Tools > Click 'Download'

hmm what's shareaza plus? I've been using shareaza for a long time now and it seems alright, just nothing as fast as kazaa back in the day lol.
yeah the mentioning of kazaa will no doubt label me but, bah back in the day lol, back in the day:icon_rr:

Shareaza Plus connects to Gnutella 1 and 2, BT and ed2k. The big difference between Shareaza and Shareaza Plus is that Shareaza connects to more ultrapeers than the normal Shareaza dramatically increasing the speeds, but also slightly hurting the network.
