hi

this is my first post
i have a bearshare 5.2.1.3 strange problem .
last night bearshare started giving errors "drwatson was unable to attach .........................."
so progam was shut down.

i started it again it worked fine but after some time again same error .
the on agin restating bearshare it started good .

now i was downloading application of about 412mb last night it showed complete upto 399 mb.

that download is still in temp folder but not shown in files that are being dwnloded.now that file is not even showing up in searches on bearshare network that is why that uncomplete download file is important for me.

pls help..
thanks..........

The file is not completed so it is in temp directory as more parts of that file is needed. And, if you can't search for that file on the network probabaly the person you were downloading from has removed that file from the network or temporary out of the network for a while.

If you still can't find that file on the network after a while, I'd suggest you try other p2p networks to find it. There is nothing else you can do about it!

BTW, since Bearshare also uses Guntella network you may like to switch to Frostwire open-source free client.

actually what i am saying is that

when i start bearshare it shows other downloads going on but not shows the file (that is still in temp)
downloading or simply it is missing from download section.

this could happen only after if i have cancelled download(as in that case file from temp of that file must also have been deleted which is not the case)

but i havent done so.
strange problem.

Since you are downloading an application, your AntiVirus software maybe deleting or quarantee the file.
Make sure the application is not a virus. Some AntiVirus software will simply delete infected applications without warning. Check your software for a Virus chest, vault or quarantee. It maybe be there.
Or maybe it is just a fake application, try another P2P program.

I think that temp file is corrupted, and I don't think Bearshare would rehash the file to resume download that why it doesn't show up as still downloading anymore. Try other gnutella p2p clients as I suggested such as Frostwire, Shareaza multi-networks client instead!

I uses eMule on eDonkey network, eMule can rehash the file if the file got corrupted. Rehashing the file would trash corrupted parts, then ask for the parts to be download again. Sorry, that's about all I can do for you!

whats a temp file? everything i get is complete. =) You should stop using it. What it is, is a bug in it that makes it not turn over to a completed file if it is finished or may keep failing due to the inconsistant data that attaches to it. So it fails hash check since somehow it got corrupted or wont be put together.

hello my problem is when i start the programm bearshare they send me a message:"Database file is corrupt
Bearshare will automatically attempt to create a new database when it is restarted. Your old database files have been saved for possibile diagnose."
But this message ever came back when i want to start the programm.
I deinstalled the programm and installed often new but its ever the same problem.
Can anybody help me and tell what i must do?
thx
