Looks nice, Would have been neat to see how they were controlling it.

You can point with the controller just like you would a lightgun since the controller has the technology build in or use a shell attachement to the controller to make it look and feel more like a gun.

IGN also has a video of the full hour Nintendo press conference at E3. I am actually interested in seeing where this thing is gonna go. I am also deeply interested in how their "100% backwards compatability" is going to work. Even as a subscription service, it may make it worth it to me. Not only that, but mention of being first-party only does not deter me much, as Nintendo did have some first-rate franchises.

The download service for past games is not first party only, any 3rd party that wants to come on board can, according to nintend. It also includes sega consoles and the turbografx16's games.

Show of hands, how many of you tried to shoot that freakin dog? I know I emptied many times on his sorry ass.

Looks good, I wish there were more old style shooting games still being made

People were queuing for up to 4 hours for a chance to play on the Wii at E3!

I was was not that much a fan of duckhunt, i got pretty dull after a few plays. Instead i will be hoping for a new version of Punchout using two controllers.

This video will give you a rough idea of what the virtual console will look like:

The games they had as demos were: Super Mario Bros, Super Mario World, Super Mario 64, Sonic The Hedgehog and Bonk's Adventure.

Bah, I'll wait for Kev Houghton's FPGA NES (http://tripoint.org/kevtris/Projects/console/) to play duckhunt.

I'll probably buy a revolution (havent' warmed to the "wii" yet) just out of curiousity, but I already have all the console copiers and flash carts I need to play retro games.

I think I'm going to buy a Wii as well... The download service for prior hits and the lower price than any other console will probably get Nintendo a lot of customers on this one.
