ipod copy error

I just finally got an ipod, and I am in the process of copying over my mp3 collection to the device. I have it all hooked up properly, and to copy I am just dragging folders into the ipod window. It works ok, but every once in a while will inexplicably disconnect the ipod from the computer. I mean, it's still physically connected, but the computer doesnt recognize it and I have to reconnect and all that. Anyone else had this problem?

uhhh nevermind i am a moron. changed usb ports and now it works fine.
