Hey.
I've just started downloading games with bittorrents, mainly through thepiratebay, but when my downloades are done. I only receive a file with some weird looking files and a run program which doesnt work!
Someone please explain to me how I get the games up and running or direct me to a guide, please.
thanks in advance

Can you tell us what file format it is (.rar, .zip, .iso, etc?).

more likely its compressed with uharc or an ISO that cant be ran unless mounted with daemon tools or alcohol.. PC game right? Some have cracks and nfo files to tell you how to install it or run it.

When I download the game, all I get is a folder with some .rar , .iso , .sfv files. And I'm talking about one or two of each opf them! Far not enough to install/run a game.

mount the iso, crack can be found inside that when you browse the "disc"

Is the .iso file inside the .rar file? The .rar file is a compressor, it reduces the size of your download. The .iso file is what you need to burn onto a cd or mount to play the game. If there are two .isos maybe you there are two instalation cds for the game.

SFV checks the file and verifies all WINRAR data are correct and not corrupted. RAR file is WINRAR archive which is compressed into segments. When you click on the first one, it will go through and add them up and show you the files inside the archive. Extract to destination folder.
ISO File can be mounted with daemon tools or burnt with any burning software. If the game is under 700 megs, its burnt on CD, if its more then that. You need to burn to DVD. Daemon tools will let you view the contents on how to run it if other things are necessary.
