Westell 2200, ISP Verizon. 864 KBits/Sec by 160 KBits/Sec connection. Using Shareaza Plus and uTorrent. Average dl speed in uTorrent about 120 kb/s in and in Shareaza Plus it depends too much for me to give you an average of what I get.

Router - Netgear Wireless WGR614v5
ISP - Ice Communications Ireland LTD
Limits - No download limit, no max GB
Speed - 2MB Download 512K Upload
Programs - uTorrent, Shareza Plus
Firewalls - Router and Windows ICF

All in all with my current setup things work great for me. Private sites give me max DL speed which always varies from 160-200KB/s but I'm very happy with that. Shareaza Plus gives out max speeds when the file has about 50+ source which I'm also happy with, I have it connecting to all ED2K, G1, G2 but not BT. Took me a good while to get it perfect with all my programs and forwarding ports (Skype, AIM ect.) but it's all good now.

Thanks for the replies, ill check out those routers. My dlink wbr-1310 stops responding after I leave emule running for a few hours. I left it running last night without connecting to the kad network and it was fine. I guess I just cant connect to the kad network in emule for some reason..

Hey Lifehker, I think we have the same Westell modems, in the config it's called WireSpeed DualConnect. I have a router after the modem, and am able to forward ports on it just fine, but there must be another firewall in the modem, because I still can't accept incoming connections.

I can see the modem login page, but can't change firewall settings, because the phone techs set the modem up, and the usual password won't work. Is there really a firewall in this modem do you know, or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Try this for the firewall: http://192.168.1.1/fwMain.htm
And use this do forward the ports: http://192.168.1.1/nat.htm

Tell me if any of this helps.
