This is baffling me. I have no problem using Azureus. It's works wonderfully in lets say place A (home in VA), but I'm stationed in NC (place B). I'm in control of the router and network settings here in place B, and here in place B is where it won't work. I have all green smileys on Azureus yet I can barely break 1KBps on any given download. I'm talking files with 100 seeds (currently sitting at 55 peers and 112 seeds and I'm downloading at a WHOPPING 931 B/s). Now when I'm at place A(home in VA) where I am NOT the administrator, I have downloaded in the HUNDREDS of KB/s. I just don't get it. I'm pulling the hair I don't have out over this (I am a baldie). The only things I can think is that somehow the router is choking my upload speeds (avg 1KB/s - 20KB/s here in NC [place b] and easily over 50-100kb/s in VA [place a]) which I can't find out how to change anywhere so I'm not thinking that's the issue. Or that my ISP limits it (charter communications in NC) but I can't find anywhere anything about it being limited on the contract or anything. On Veiw wireless connection it says I'm connected at 108MBps. That's all I can think of now, please help me!

-> Say clearly what the problem is - see above
-> Say what client you are using - Azureus
-> Say whether you are on SP1 or 2 - SP2
-> The exact setup of your network/ how your computer is connected to the net - Connected to the internet through a wireless router that I am the administrator for D-link DI-624
-> All the software you are running - Nothing but the required windows operating programs i.e. explorer
-> What you have done so far to try and resolve the problem - all the port forwarding and firewall options possible. Every single thing listed in the FAQ I got these questions from. Also port probed - evertyhing is open that needs to be opened. Ran UPnP diaqgnostic on Azureus. That's all I can think of now, but I'm sure there is more as I have been working on this for at least two days now. tweaked all my settings for uploads and downloads, again note it works in VA but not in NC.

When you unplugged your router and transported it to the new location, it lost it's settings

Log in to the router and change the name and pwd, then use port forwarding for the ports you need, then restart Azureus and make sure that the ports in Azureus and what you have in the router are exactly the same.

Check your firewall.

Different router in each location. Like I said in VA I'm not in control of the network, I'm just a user, but here in NC I run the show when it comes to the internet. Everything that I said I have done I did here in NC because this is where I am having problems. Ports probed came up as ok, all smileys showing green, yet can barely get over 1KBps

Ok then Mr In Control . . whats the common denominator?

Whats new to the equation?

Were you on a wireless router back in VA?

Hmmmmm

All the settings are the same and it's the same computer. Just a different Internet Provider (Charter instead of Time Warner) and a different router (D-Link instead of Linksys)

Ok then . . youve half answered your own question . . .

Tackle the router configuration first, and eliminate it altogether if possible

then tackle Charter
