I just purchased a modded Xbox and it supposedly has a burner built in. I have no clue how to use or even check to see if it really has a burner in it. Also can I burn Games with my cd-rw on my computer? What do I need to get to burn them correctly??? Is there a special burner for game burning??? Please help me out....

No burner is in the modded xbox. It has a hard drive that can read the game disc and store it on the xbox console. Other then that. Use dvd decryptor or nero to burn the xbox image to disc, 4x is good speed.

Let the actual professionals mod your xbox. If they screw it up, they pay. If you screw it up, you pay. Just pay that 50 bucks for a mod, beats buying games for 99 bucks each.
Anyway back to the topic.
Well, first thing's first. Xbox 360 games are all 4.7GB+ (At least that I know of) and so you cannot burn onto normal DVD's.
You will need a Double Layered DVD (8.5GB).
BUT HERE IS A PROBLEM!
I live in Australia, and after I modded my Xbox, I decided to burn some games.
I was using Double Layer DVDs, a pack of 25 for $49, so 2 bucks each.
Anyway, I burned 5 games, only 1 of them worked, the others got onto the game menu, then an "Unreadable Disc" error popped up.
Apparantly, most discs will NOT work, especially the cheaper ones.
And the expensive ones aren't that bad (8 for 24 bucks).
And so, I looked it up on the internet, and found that you should always burn onto Verbatim DL DVD's, and not just any, "Made in Singapore" ones.
But my friend bought another brand of discs, around 3 bucks each, and found that they work.
So yeah, anyway, after you've downloaded the .iso/.dvd file (usually its one of those) you will need to use a Disc Burner to burn it to your DL DVD. .dvd files are frustrating, you should use PowerDVD to burn them.
And then put it into your Xbox, and it should work.
IF it doesn't, maybe you burnt it wrong, your Xbox wasn't modded properly or the files are wrong (in which case you must download another -.-).
Hope this helps, I'm new btw.

There is a video on youtube that will walk you through modding your 360. Once you watch it you will gladly pay someone to do it for you. Its not easy and you will need to buy some things for your PC before you can even get started. You will come out cheaper paying someone else to do it.
This is not the best video ive seen but here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XV_uVyqCVU8&feature=related

Yeah, that vid makes you just want to give up on modding yourself, if you were going to.

That didn't look bad at all! as long as there isn't any soldering, I'd be up for that.

I paid someone off of craigslist.org that did it. I didnt have the right chipset and a sata to boot. Im glad i did, he opened it up without damaging the xbox 360, and then he used a hair dryer to melt the DO NOT OPEN stickers so he can re attach them without voiding the warranty. So he put it all together.. And now like 7 months later, it went out on me. I played so much out of it. So i sent it to xbox for repair since its under warranty. They saw the stickers still on the frame of the console and repaired it.. If they found the firmware flashed or that it has been opened, i wouldnt be getting mine repaired for free. S o make sure you find someone that knows all the tricks.
IMAGEBURNER at 2.4x with verbatim. Open up the .DVD file with notepad, take out the layer break and have it with just the file name. And then save it, load it in IMAGEBURNER. Then take the number and put it in the settings for the layer break. DL. IXTREME thats flashed on the xbox 360 wont play anything unless its stealth tested and all the security sectors are verified.

Ha! He's creative, ain't he?
The guy who modded my Xbox also kept them on.
He also "melted" them, but he didn't use a hair dryer.
He used a this flashlight thingy, only it wasn't a flashlight. I have no idea what it was.

Ahh crap. I got my xbox back and put my burnt disc in . And it said disc error. So i opened up the drive and looked at it. So i know if they detected the ixtreme flash that it wouldnt be repaired so i said maybe they replaced the drive. So i got online and found out i need to find out if their is a white wire or a yellow wire in the little hole by the drive. . SO I FOUND out they put a LITEON Drive in it.. So now i had to go to eBay to buy a benq drive.. So now i have to take it over to my modder and pay him 35 bucks to flash the benq and spoof it as a liteon drive. I am tempted to throw it all away and buy a PS3 if i didnt like free games so much.
