Maybe he just wore out the cd-rw disk, they dont last forever and he doesnt say how many times hes burned too it and wrote over it, could be scratched also.

I am not trying to make fun, but i dont understand how having a bad cd-rw in anyway would cause him to lose all his data, and what does he think a service center is going to do with a bad disk, other then hand him a new one and say take it to the register.

okay im apoligse if you didnt understand , english is not my first languge so you have to be patient with me

1 the cd-rw's are brand new , i have not used them beforehand
2 problem has only occured in the last 2 weeks
3 the rom is a SD-R2412 toshiba dvd rom.
im not worried about the actual cds or replacement
i was only wondering why it does not work anymore while its still can burn onto a cd-r perfectly ?

do i need to upgrade something , i dont know that s why i wanted to ask for some little help or advice

It is possible that you may need to update the firmware on this

Use Nero Tools to see the details of the drive

Taking it to someone qualified who can work on it in person is a much better bet for you in this case.

could it possibly be that you haven't formatted the cd-rw before using it? could it be that simple? you say you've never used them?

LOL shallowhall

RacknRail if he would use the tools at his disposal, such as Nero InfoTool, and the CD-DVD check . .he can see if there is actually any data on that disk. Good question btw.

Maybe you should have went to a site in your native language first before this one.

I'm guessing you had some type of combination dvd burner/cd writer and it quit reading previously burned stuff either from the dvd's or cd's but its not clear what you mean so we can't help you, sorry.

if it is this problem then your combination cdburner/dvdwriter is bad and u just need to get a new one...nothing else will help.
