Major problem. My pc has stopped loading windows since I updated to the last nvidia forceware drivers I can't get into safemode to roll back the system. windows loads very slowly but after 10 minutes of slowly loading icons everything goes black what can I do? It worked before with the drivers the card came with but when I updated it stopped working.

I'm in a bad position I need my pc back ASAP as I have stuff that needs to get done. I have two minidv tapes to rip.

Did you roll back your drivers? Also did you go back to an earlier version of windows? Im not smart, but giong through the checklist for the ones that know what they are talking about.

Hi black_magiic . . .

First of all, do you have this?

If not . . . well you know . . WHY NOT? *whack*

Damn your ill-preparedness :D

But seriously, if you cant roll back the drivers, you could browse that volume, and sabatoge it or recover the data. This also has a Registry Editor so you can actually remove keys or change values.

Sit on this a bit and let me gather some more info before you do anything.

:D

haha I actually managed to find cpugenius on msn and harassed him for a bit and he sorted it out for me. It was really stupid I was pushing f8 to get to safe mode at the wrong. I'm all working now. But I'm going to go download that disk you reccomend it will likely save my sorry ass some day :P

Hehehe ok! I signed on to Gtalk but you werent there. I havent seen you guys on MSN or ICQ cuz I havent signed on in about 2 years . . .

I'm glad you werent totally screwed, theres plenty of documentation as to solving this problem with Safe Mode, but very little if you cant get in there.

Be sure to clean up XP when you get back in there, uninstall those drivers etc.
