Sorry guys. I was a little drunk when I posted this tread. I can't even remember creating it, in fact. So the original question was about; my add or remove programds wizard. Everytime I opened the Window, I'd scroll down to find Black and White lines drawn verticularly down, inside the window (as in the location of the "currently installed program:" items). I could find all my programs some were at the start of the page and some at the bottom and in the middle, were was these black and white lines. They never seemed to have affected the way the wizard operated, appart from the fact, that there was loads of scrolling down to do to get to the rest of the programs listed. I was just wondering if anyone, has seen this before?. many thanks Patch

It sounds like you were scrolling before the window finished loading. How much memory are you runnning? Does it do it every single time, even if you wait a few seconds? By "scrolling" are you referring to using your scroll wheel? What happens when you press the arrow down or up buttons. I just gave it a shot and it seems it does work with the scroll wheel, but no probs I had.

This is an inability of your display driver to acurately reproduce the form field where the programs are listed, it could have been a one time occurance due to a program hogging memory or a video driver, Direct X etc.

If this happens again, post with some pertinent info such as cpu usage, sluggishness etc
