PARIS, France (AP) -- Divers have discovered a new crustacean in the South Pacific that resembles a lobster and is covered with what looks like silky, blond fur, French researchers said Tuesday.
Scientists said the animal, which they named Kiwa hirsuta, was so distinct from other species that they created a new family and genus for it.

A team of American-led divers found the animal in waters 2,300 meters (7,540 feet) deep at a site 1,500 kilometers (900 miles) south of Easter Island last year, according to Michel Segonzac of the French Institute for Sea Exploration.
The new crustacean is described in the journal of the National Museum of Natural History in Paris.
The animal is white and 15 centimeters (5.9 inches) long -- about the size of a salad plate.

That thing isn't likely to end up on that many plates....it has no tail, plus the claws are very small.

A blond girl named Mary came to canada on a visit, and saw a truck with stuff spilling out of it. She runs up beside the truck and Says hi Im Mary from kentucky, and you are loosing your load. The truck driver lust looked at her and drove on. This happened 3 or 4 times, and he finally said, "Hi Im Rick from Ontario, and Im driving the fucking salt truck, now will you please just screw off?"

Isn't it great? We're the most advanced species, and yet...
Look a new animal! *poke* Let's eat it!

Are we the most advanced? We destroy where we step, and poison where we live, that does not sound very advanced to me. It sounds more like, that we have learned to improperly use our knowledge to destroy that which supports us. Is this an old species, or a mutation through evolution, or even , possibly a mutation caused by the crap we have been poluting our planet with?
