avoiding fake ed2k servers

I used to recommend the gruk.org server list.
www.gruk.org was in the same ip block as the razorback 2 server. It is currently down and I think it is unlikly it will return. We can only hope.

The only other up to date server list I can find is ed2k.2x4u.de (http://ed2k.2x4u.de/index.html) (soft pron adverts) but I don't trust some of the servers in that list.

It is worth considering using emule set to not connect to a server and only use kad for searching.

Yeah thats the same serverlist I use ( ed2k.has.it ). I use an ipfilter.dat and set it to filter servers, so I dont worry so much.

Doesn't ed2k have something like BT, where it could ban servers or IPs giving corrupt data?

If they don't, then how hard would it be to incorporate something like that?

I think ill avoid edonkey all together downloaded from http://download.overnet.com/edonkey.exe installed it onto my system shit didn't pc cillin antivirus/anti spyware get a good workout. out of my system gave me a head ache oh well 10 more to try... lol hate to say this but I miss kazaa lite...
