Buttons in Kazaa Lite Grayed out?

I know i probably sound like a total idiot and i am missing something really obvious but i just downloaded kazaa lite and i cant search for anything cause the button is grayed out. Please help me.

May I be the first to day doh! Your problem is your still connecting to the (crappy spam/fake/corrupted file capital of the world) network.

When you finish connecting to the network, the buttons will appear. My spidey senses are telling me a new help thread is coming.

i downloaded that snode file or whatever but now when i open up Kazaa the buttons appear for a second and then are grayed out again. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling kazaa and it still doesnt connect with that program thing. :/
