If any of you out there have a Playstation Eyetoy you will love this ( you may already know) it can be used as a webcam, and the picture quality and frame rate are phenomenal. I have provided the the hacked drivers in this post.

Just hook up the cam (the new silver eyecam is now also supported) and when found new hardware wizzard pops up, install the drivers from a SPECIFIC location and choose the destination where you unzipped the drivers.

*edit, the file is a few kilobytes to large to upload (raise the damned limit Jorge) here are the links.

If its SLEH-00030, Download drivers here http://www.ionstorm.co.uk/files/30eyetoy.zip
If its SLEH-00031, Download here http://www.ionstorm.co.uk/files/31eyetoy.zip
If you have the silver eyetoy(SCEH-0004), Drivers are here http://www.ionstorm.co.uk/files/31eyetoy.zip

Enjoy, a 24 - 30 dollar playstation peripheral that out peforms $100+ webcams.

If someone made 64bit drivers I would consider going out and getting it. Currently my webcam has no drivers and im not expecting any.

After dooing some research it seems that the driver used is from the d-link DSB-C310 webcam. From that I can only assume the eyetoy and the dlink camera are built around the same technology and should perform the same.

I connected my eyetoy about 2 weeks ago. I found the right driver at drivers.com.

I keep it a secret as I don't want my girlfriend to know about it or else she'll connect and never give it up. It does work pretty damn good though. Great clarity and speed.

640x480 resolution at 30 fps if your system / connection can handle it, but it is an awesome piece of hardware for the money. I paid almost as much for the piece of shit veo stingray webcam which maxed out at 240x180 at around 10 frames per second recording, and 5 fps online.
