OiNK have closed their #invites channel on IRC

Taken from the main page:

We're now automatically handing out invites to Power User+ twice a month. If you are not Power User+ when the script runs, you will not receive any. Many of you should have received one today.
There is no reason to hoard your invites, you won't receive more than a certain amount anyway, so if you have friends or family who would like to use the site, send one their way!
With this new addition though, we are closing the #invites channel on our IRC server.

I for one am happy about it, it was too easy to blag an invite on the invite channel if you were persistent enough, now it truley is a private site. The bonus is all members (power users) get two invites a month to hand out.

The downside is ZP will prolly end up with more 'anyone got any invites...' kind of threads.

Oh well. What do you guys think?

I think I'd like an invite if anyone has one.
I've been checking the site out for a long time hoping it would open up.But since it looks like that will never happen I am forced to humbly request,with all due respect and dignity :icon_porc :icon_rend :icon_rr: :icon_cycl :icon_puke ,that someone send me an invite.

Hardest part about being a member of Oink is searching through 700-1000 torrents of music/apps/e-books that are added daily. All higher then 192 byte rate on music.
I searched on it at 7am before getting ready for work, now 9:15pm.. Searching through it all. I dont even have all the music checked in my prefrences to show up. Like Reggae, kids, beats, country, garage, funk, hip hop, hardcore and more. Not even the same top 40 artist or pop bands. But artist never heard or old singles, flac releases of new albums.

wow that oink site must be very impressive with 700-1000 new torrents a day! I hope I will once be able to check oink out and be a part of the community
